Findley Elementary students and families want to thank our SUPER STAR teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week May 2-6!
A pink sheet came home with your child last week that identifies appreciation activities for each day of the week, as well as teachers’ favorite snacks, colors, and school supplies. (In the event this sheet did not come home, a list of Teacher Favorites is attached to this message.)
Monday, May 2 – Super Stars
Tell your teacher why you think they are a star. Write a note or fill out the “Star” sheet that came home with your child (extras are in the school office, or make your own!).
Tuesday, May 3 – Vital Tools
Bring in one of your teacher’s favorite school supplies.
Wednesday, May 4 – Star Fuel
Make sure your teacher has energy for their Super Star work. Bring in a small bag of their favorite chips.
Thursday, May 5 – Star Candy
Bring in your teacher’s favorite candy to say Thanks!
Friday, May 6 – Favorite Color
Be your Star Teacher’s sidekick! Wear their favorite color.
Consider showing appreciation to specials teachers as well!
Participation is always optional. A simple smile and Thank You is most valuable of all!
Missed a day? No problem! This schedule is a guideline, and Teachers appreciate being honored ANY day of the week in any way your child wants to show their appreciation.
Upcoming Staff Luncheon Dates
In addition to Teacher Appreciation Week activities, we will also be honoring our teachers and staff with three luncheon events, featuring home-cooked food provided by you! Please mark your calendars! Teachers LOVE this tradition and look forward to your delicious dishes. Additional information and an invitation to participate will be sent via email from Findley PTO. (If you are interested in leading this effort in the future, our current Teacher Appreciation Luncheon Chair is looking for a shadow for the 2016-2017 school year!
