Art Lit is an art education program which consists of volunteers who go into classrooms to give a visual presentation on an artist, which is followed by a hands-on art project with the students. This month students will be learning about the artist George Seurat, French painter, whose technique for portraying the play of light using tiny brushstrokes of contrasting colors became known as Pointillism.

The students love this program and they get so excited when the Art Lit Volunteers come to class! There are still classrooms that need volunteers, don’t let your child(ren) miss out on this wonderful program. Please check the following link to see if your student’s class still needs an Art Lit Lead or Support Volunteer – Art Lit Volunteers.

If you would like more information about the program, please contact Christa Brask, the Art Lit Committee Lead, at her email.
