Dear Findley Families,

It was announced on May 2, that the winner of the Doodle for Google contest in Oregon is Christopher Yoa, a Findley first grader!

The annual competition asks students K-12 to create artwork incorporating the company’s name with this year’s theme “What inspires me?” and the winner from each state was selected to compete to win votes from viewers nationally.

Christopher’s drawing of happy teeth under sunny skies impressed the judges, who looked for artistic merit, creativity & success at conveying the theme. He told a contest official that “One day after visiting my dentist, I was told that very soon I will have adult tooth come out to replace my baby tooth. I was so excited and can’t wait to see them.”

He will now compete against 52 other younger artists from across the county. Starting 5/7-5/20, you can vote for Christopher’s art.

  • Vote for Christopher by clicking on the following link – VOTE FOR DOODLES FOR GOOGLE
  • Stating 5/7, you can vote once a day until 5/20
  • National Winner will receive a $30,000 college scholarship
  • In addition, their school will receive a $50,000 Google Grant to improve the computer lab or tech program!

We are so proud of you Christopher!

Sincerely,

Findley PTO
