Coming Soon: Findley Science Fair

Mark your calendars: Science Fair is Thursday, March 12th in the Cafeteria!
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Get your project approved
Science Fair proposal forms will come home in folders this Friday. To participate, students must complete the proposal and return it to the Front Office or the Library.
Final day to submit proposals: February 25th (proposals must be turned in by then to be approved).
Step 2: Conduct your experiment
Once your student’s proposal is approved, it’s time to have them put on their scientist hat! Follow the scientific process, run their experiment, and be sure to record observations, results, and what learnings along the way.
Step 3: Present at the Fair
Bring your Dragon’s finished project to the Science Fair on March 11th. On March 12th, Dragon Scientists will share their hypothesis, process, results, and conclusions with our Findley community.
We also need a few helping hands:
  • Science Fair Council, Feb 9th–Feb 26th: Help review proposals for approval/corrections. This can be done mostly at home (time commitment: 10–15 minutes per proposal) with a quick orientation provided.
  • Set-Up Crew, Wednesday, March 11th: 4–6 volunteers after school to set up ~40 tables (less than 1 hour commitment).
  • Tear-Down Crew, Thursday, March 12th: 6–8 volunteers to help clean up, break down tables, and move any remaining projects to the pickup location (less than 1 hour commitment).
