Dragon Dash – October 5th – October 9th, 2020

This year is a little different! Students will have one week to complete at least five exercise activities to earn a bingo!

This year’s event will be held for an entire week! Starting Monday, 10/5 and lasting through Friday, 10/9, your student(s) will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of physical activities at home to earn a BINGO. Each activity should take about five minutes. Students are encouraged to take photos or videos and send to dragondashpm@gmail.com. We will compile student submissions into a slideshow that will be shared school-wide later this year. Due to the inaccessibility of the Findley campus, fundraising will be completely digital and all donations can be made securely through PledgeStar, our fundraising partner for many Dragon Dash events. Our goal is to raise funds to support our many fantastic PTO programs, including:

  1. Field Improvements*
  2. Playground Improvements*
  3. Water-Filling Stations*
  4. Texts for Inquiry-Based Instruction
  5. Art & Science Kits
  6. Technology Tools (and Maintenance to keep them running)
  7. and Teacher Development to keep our teachers in tip-top shape!

How To Donate

The suggested donation per child is $50, which supports valuable enrichment and educational programs for all Findley students. All donation amounts are appreciated and giving is always optional. Our fundraising goal this year is $31,680! Findley uses a web-based fundraising system PledgeStar that makes it easy for you to request pledges from your family and friends, and for them to make secure credit card donations online. Each donation made online will receive a donation receipt via email that can be used for company matching. You get notified each time a donation is made, and you can track your student’s fundraising progress online. Online donations are due by Wednesday, October 14th.

 

Company Matching Funds

Please visit your company’s online giving website to ensure your donation can be matched. Please visit www.findleypto.com/fundraising/company-matching-funds/ for more information regarding your individual company matching instructions. Please be sure to email a copy of any company matching receipt along with your name and company name to dragondashpm@gmail.com. This will ensure Findley PTO receives credit for the matching.

Please note: Company matching does not count toward student prize levels.

 

Reward Information

What are the individual fundraising levels and associated awards? How do students earn raffle tickets?

Rewards are given at two different fundraising levels; $50 and $100. The attached document describes the awards associated with individual fundraising levels. It also provides additional information on how raffle tickets are earned. If you have any questions please send an email to dragondashpm@gmail.com.

Each student will receive one raffle ticket just for signing up on PledgeStar and can earn additional raffle tickets for every 10 people they email via PledgeStar. The raffle tickets will be automatically entered on their behalf to win prizes. In addition, the more money your student raises, the more chances your student has to win even more prizes. Online donations are due by Wednesday, October 14th. Thank you for your support!

T-shirts and earned prizes will be distributed at a future date at Findley, carefully observing COVID protocols. Stay tuned for more information!

Our 2020 event will not have volunteers as it will be completely remote.
